Job Description

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a seasoned Lead, Software Engineer to steer a self-starting, team-oriented full-stack development effort focused on satellite command and control systems. The role centers on building web-based, cloud-enabled solutions and applying modern DevOps practices within government programs. This onsite position supports teams in Colorado Springs, CO, with additional opportunity in Chantilly, VA, and emphasizes mentoring teammates while driving architectural adaptations across evolving baselines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate software for government programs using industry best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Provide development support for mission applications and frameworks.
  • Be part of a development team that employs modern DevOps practices and a technology-enabled development infrastructure.
  • Maintain and extend capabilities for deployed systems, diagnose issues, and provide end-user support as needed.
  • Demonstrate technical initiative and a commitment to learning new skills and promoting innovative technologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers on the job as needed.
  • Adapt existing baselines to new architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least 9 years of relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience; or, without a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
