Compensation and work arrangements
The annual base salary ranges from $107,300 to $185,840 in most major metro areas of California, Massachusetts, and New York. For other locations, the range is $93,200 to $164,450. This role supports full‑time remote telework, with occasional travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings. The position follows a 9x80 schedule, providing every other Friday off. Relocation is not available for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute all phases of software development for UI and services, including design, implementation, integration, testing, and verification
- Develop services that address optimization problems such as dynamic programming, nonlinear optimization, and over‑constrained planning
- Optimize both terrestrial and space‑based systems to support prioritized mission needs
- Collaborate in small, fast‑paced agile teams focused on delivering products to program customers
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Java and/or JavaScript
- Experience with containerization in cloud environments (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Containerd) on platforms such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, or OpenShift
- Background working in an Agile development environment using tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines, automated builds, and configuration tools (GitLab, ArgoCD)
- US Citizenship required, with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI clearances
