Job Description

Sonsoft Inc is looking for a J2EE Developer to design and deliver RESTful services within a microservices landscape in San Francisco, on-site. The role centers on core J2EE, Spring Boot, and Maven, with hands-on work on API-based integrations, Docker containerization, and guidance on SOA versus API adoption to help modernize legacy systems. This position calls for a solid engineering background and a proactive approach to building scalable architectures across a heterogeneous technology stack.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and blueprint integration strategies around API-based interactions and microservices in a diverse tech and product environment
  • Lead system architecture and design leveraging J2EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Maven
  • Demonstrate experience in shaping RESTful service architectures to enable new business capabilities or transform legacy implementations
  • Understand core microservices components, including containers, load balancing, and distributed caching
  • Apply knowledge of Docker frameworks and container deployments, including container management
  • Clarify SOA versus API implementation differences and guide clients and development teams toward appropriate adoption

Requirements

  • Blueprint solutions on latest integration paradigms and API based interactions including Microservices in a heterogeneous technology landscape
  • System architecture and design involving J2EE, Spring, Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Maven
  • Proven experience defining a RESTful service based architecture for new business capabilities or transformations around legacy systems
  • Understanding of microservices architecture components such as containers, load balancing, and distributed cache
  • Knowledge of Docker framework and deployments, container management
  • SOA vs API implementation differences; ability to guide clients for appropriate adoption and coordinate with the development team
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • At least 4 years of experience within Information Technologies
