Forward Deployed Software Engineer - US Government

AppIt Ventures is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to support U.S. government stakeholders with software engineering work that addresses operational needs. Based in Denver, CO, this is an onsite role focused on developing, integrating, and deploying software solutions while partnering with end users and project teams.

In this position, you will take responsibility for building and maintaining applications and integrations, troubleshooting technical issues, and documenting implementation processes. Work will also include following applicable security and data-protection requirements as solutions move through development and deployment.

What you’ll do

• Develop and deploy software solutions for government-related projects
• Partner with stakeholders to understand technical and operational requirements
• Build, test, and maintain reliable applications and integrations
• Troubleshoot technical issues and help improve system performance
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and project teams
• Document technical processes and implementation procedures
• Follow applicable data-protection and security requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• Experience developing software applications using relevant programming languages
• Knowledge of APIs, databases, system integrations, and software deployment
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
• Willingness to meet any applicable government security or clearance requirements

Compensation and location

• Salary: USD 90,000 - 125,000 per year
• Work location: In person, Denver, CO (onsite)
