App Developer

Aspirational Health seeks a creative, motivated App Developer to help build and expand a digital healthcare platform. This onsite role in Mars, PA focuses on developing mobile and web applications, connecting with healthcare systems, and applying HIPAA-compliant development practices to improve patient engagement and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile and web applications aligned with Aspirational Health services and patient needs.
• Assess and implement secure connectivity with the existing electronic medical record (EMR) and patient portal, based on available integration capabilities.
• Build digital features including appointment requests, online scheduling, patient communication, service information, and wellness program engagement.
• Create tools that streamline administrative workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve staff productivity.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations between applications, databases, and third-party healthcare platforms.
• Apply HIPAA-compliant development practices, including appropriate access controls, encryption, and secure handling of patient information.
• Work closely with the Medical Director to identify opportunities for digital transformation and expansion of healthcare services.
• Test, troubleshoot, update, and continuously improve applications using patient and staff feedback.

Requirements

• Experience developing mobile applications (iOS/Android) and/or web applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or comparable programming languages.
• Familiarity with React, React Native, Flutter, Node.js, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, database systems, and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with GitHub, version control, application deployment, and software testing.
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, and role-based access controls.
• Healthcare technology experience, including EMR/EHR integration, HL7/FHIR, or HIPAA requirements is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently research and implement solutions.
• Ability to translate business and clinical needs into functional technology solutions.

Compensation
