As a Senior Software Engineer on the ITOM Cloud Services team, you will help build scalable cloud services on Kubernetes, contribute to AI initiatives, and mentor engineers. This role emphasizes delivering high-scale, high-performance infrastructure while advancing AI-enabled capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Write high quality, clean, and scalable code by applying established software engineering practices, including code reviews and unit testing.
- Design, build, deploy, and operate highly available and performant cloud services using modern technologies.
- Collaborate with product owners to clarify requirements and own the full code lifecycle from design through testing and delivery.
- Create software that is extensible and customizable to meet a variety of customer needs.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing existing services. Mentor colleagues and foster a customer‑focused culture.
Requirements
- Experience integrating AI into work processes, decision‑making, or problem‑solving.
- 3+ years of experience with Java or a similar object‑oriented language.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink, data processing systems, and an Observability stack is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
- Analytical mindset and solid design skills.
- Proficiency with daily tooling, including IDEs, debuggers, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, and Unix tools.
