Robert Half is recruiting a Software Engineer for its enterprise technology team in Laconia, NH. In this onsite role, you will design, develop, and improve internal web-based business applications used across multiple departments, working closely with stakeholders and integrating solutions with enterprise systems.
Role Overview
The position focuses on building and supporting internal applications, enhancing existing functionality, and ensuring reliable performance. You will also help troubleshoot production issues, contribute to code reviews, and participate in architecture decisions that support long-term enterprise needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain internal web-based applications using PHP.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver agreed-upon solutions.
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support ongoing enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to application architecture decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing applications with PHP and SQL databases.
- Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
- Experience working with business systems, workflows, and data integrations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with modern PHP frameworks is a plus.
Technology Exposure
Work will involve PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, APIs, Java, and exposure to ERP-related systems.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
