Job Description

PINKYS (Pinky's Iron Doors) is hiring a Zoho Developer to own and modernize our Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory workflows onsite in Vernon, CA (in person). This role configures the end-to-end procurement and inventory process, builds automations and integrations, and creates reporting that leadership can rely on for real-time purchasing, inventory value, and vendor/customer transaction history.

What you’ll work on

  • Own the end-to-end configuration of Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory, including Chart of Accounts, Items, Estimates, Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Bills, Invoices, Purchase Receives, Credit Notes, and Payments.
  • Design and maintain multi-warehouse/location inventory tracking, including inter-warehouse transfers and accurate stock-on-hand across locations.
  • Set up and maintain serial and batch tracking for applicable item lines.
  • Configure landed cost allocation for freight, duties, and shipment-related charges, ensuring costs are attributed back to the items and orders that triggered them.
  • Manage backorders, drop shipments, and sales returns while keeping inventory and financial records reconciled.
  • Configure Transaction Approval workflows for Purchase Orders and Bills, including role-based and segmented access control for the right visibility and controls.
  • Ensure clean linkage across the full document chain using native linking fields, including PO → Purchase Receive → Bill → Payment and SO → Invoice → Payment.
  • Build Deluge-based custom functions, workflow rules, and validation rules to automate procurement and inventory processes.
  • Integrate Books/Inventory with adjacent systems such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Analytics, Shopify, and similar tools where data needs to flow across platforms.
  • Proactively identify and fix data-integrity issues like mismatched item types between sales and purchase use, inconsistent numbering conventions, and broken document links.
  • Create reporting and dashboards using native Books/Inventory reports and/or Zoho Analytics for accurate, near real-time operational visibility.
  • Document system configuration, custom logic, and standard operating procedures so knowledge stays documented.
  • Train internal staff on correct day-to-day use of Books/Inventory workflows (creating POs, processing returns, receiving inventory, and related tasks).
  • Provide bug fixing support for Zoho Flow workflow actions, including debugging experience.

What we need from you

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience setting up a complete Zoho Books and/or Zoho Inventory system from the ground up (able to discuss a real system you built or owned).
  • Deep working knowledge of core Books/Inventory concepts and how they interrelate, including Estimates, Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Bills, Invoices, Purchase Receives, Credit Notes, and Payments.
  • Real experience configuring and troubleshooting multi-warehouse management, serial/batch tracking, landed cost allocation, and backorder/drop-shipment workflows.
  • Comfort with Deluge for custom functions, workflow rules, and validation rules; SQL, JavaScript, or REST API experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of role-based permissions and segmented access control in Zoho, with the ability to design access models for different teams.
  • Experience integrating Books/Inventory with other systems (CRM, e-commerce, analytics) via native connectors or APIs.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset, able to trace discrepancies through the full document chain to locate the root cause.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to translate operational needs into clean system design.
  • 3+ years of relevant Zoho project/implementation experience.
  • Computer science degree preferred.
  • Must speak English well to communicate with the team.
