This Web Developer role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining diverse web applications while delivering user-friendly experiences across platforms and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain and improve systems based on business requirements using approved technologies and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to brainstorm innovations and solve problems.
  • Contribute to UX/UI design throughout the process, offering insights and aligning development expectations.
  • Interpret client needs and project specifications to identify technical and functional user requirements.
  • Document technical requirements for internal and external use.
  • Recommend system solutions by evaluating advantages and disadvantages of options such as CMS comparisons, custom builds, or template purchases.
  • Create API integrations with third-party legal software systems.
  • Provide cost estimates based on technical specifications and scope of work.
  • Evaluate code to ensure it meets W3C standards and client requirements.
  • Launch and optimize new sites for search performance and perform quarterly updates to hosted sites to maintain optimization.
  • Ensure quality assurance through internal and external testing.
  • Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple environments and operating systems.
  • Support ongoing management and maintenance of multiple websites, including WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
  • Manage email addresses and address hosting or domain issues as needed.
  • Proactively identify problems, research solutions, and collaborate with the team to implement site-based fixes.
  • Stay current on the latest web applications and programming practices through continuing education, conferences, workshops and webinars.

Requirements

  • Motivated, curious thinker with a strong appetite for learning and problem solving.
  • Minimum of 5 years of development experience.
  • Proficient in WordPress custom theme and plugin development.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, JSON, MySQL, APIs, and related technologies.
  • Experience with payment processing platforms such as PayPal and Stripe.
  • Experience setting up custom tags in Google Tag Manager and configuring GA4 tracking.
  • SEO fluent and capable of implementing search-friendly practices.
  • Familiarity with Expression Engine and other CMS platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment; comfortable meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to convey expectations and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive and clear communication with clients and internal team members.
  • United States citizen.
  • Ad agency experience is a plus.
