This part-time, hybrid UI/UX Software Engineer (AI-Specialty) role in Colorado Springs combines design, implementation, and testing of AI-enabled UI/UX features for the CommandIQ battle management and C2 suite within an agile team. You’ll contribute to meaningful defense programs while benefiting from a competitive salary range of $93,200 to $164,450 and a 4x10 hour schedule with three days off per week.

Responsibilities

  • Break down roadmap features into actionable work items that can be developed and tested
  • Design, implement, integrate, and verify software features within an agile team
  • Perform peer reviews and debug issues as they arise
  • Engage in technical discussions to address overarching software architecture needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers to understand project requirements and stakeholder needs

Requirements

  • Experience with UI/UX design and iteration tools such as Figma, MockFlow, UXPin, Axure
  • Experience using AI tools within the UI/UX design process (Figma AI, UX Pilot, Google Stitch)
  • Frontend development experience with Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Familiarity with Docker and REST APIs
  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience; an advanced degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
