Training Developer

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Training Developer to support the development, upkeep, and delivery of content-specific curricula in Dallas, TX (onsite). In this role, you will partner with subject matter experts to ensure course content and delivery align with the needs of the targeted audiences.

The position includes assisting with education planning, creating training materials across multiple formats, and using both instructional principles and production tools to deliver professional learning experiences. This is an onsite opportunity with a minimum of 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with an annual education needs assessment to support the strategic education program
• Collaborate with leaders to select the most cost-effective training method based on topic and audience
• Learn new concepts, content, and processes quickly, then convert knowledge into effective training programs
• Develop, deliver, and support training initiatives for multiple groups using delivery methods such as classroom-based training, 1:1, self-instructional materials, job aids, virtual classroom, and webinars/web events
• Apply adult learning concepts within both program content and delivery
• Consult with team leaders and instructional designers to expand course design expertise
• Use desktop publishing and graphics packages, simulation software, and audio/visual technology to produce training materials
• Maintain templates and standards for consistent course development and delivery
• Use professional and appropriate interpersonal communication with staff at all levels
• Complete all training administration activities tied to training and delivery
• Provide training reports to management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Learning Sciences; equivalent work experience may substitute for education requirements
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in content design, development, and training delivery
• Minimum 1 year of experience in content development for virtual classroom delivery
