Staff Software Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - AI Trainer to design and evaluate coding problems that train AI models, write code samples, and provide feedback shaping model development. This fully remote contract role is based in Syracuse, NY, with flexible project schedules and the opportunity to work from home. Compensation ranges from $50 - $100 per hour, with potential higher bonus rates on certain projects, offering a meaningful impact on the future of AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve a variety of coding challenges used to train AI systems.
• Craft clear, high quality code snippets accompanied by thorough explanations.
• Assess AI-generated code for correctness, performance, and readability.

Requirements

• English fluency at native or bilingual level.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Bachelor's degree, completed or in progress.
