Sr. Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot/DevOps)

Location and work setup

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week. Location: Hopkins, MN (onsite).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and sustain software products
• Own full stack delivery by producing production-ready, testable code
• Develop designs aligned with architectural best practices, prioritizing scalability, reliability and performance across affected systems
• Investigate failures, propose design changes, and promote operational improvements
• Make technically sound choices with customer experience in mind
• Incorporate code review feedback to meet defined standards
• Review code to guide engineering practices and ensure adherence to procedures
• Ensure development follows compliance and security best practices
• Uphold software reliability engineering standards within development processes
• Explore emerging technologies and contribute to evolving engineering practices supporting the bank’s technology transformation
• Support a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Assess tasks for appropriate prioritization and incremental delivery; flag blockers and delays early

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Five to six years of relevant experience
