Software Engineer - Team Vault

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize payment flows, including instant pay and facility invoicing and billing workflows
• Design and implement fraud detection and prevention capabilities
• Develop invoicing and reconciliation logic to ensure workers are paid accurately and facilities are billed correctly
• Collaborate with operations and finance stakeholders to understand the business impact of the financial systems on facilities and workers

Requirements

• Strong focus on correctness with a customer first mindset
• End to end ownership of high stakes systems and willingness to own them when incidents occur
• Prior experience with transaction systems, payment infrastructure, and handling financial data at scale is a plus

The Vault Team

Vault owns the financial infrastructure that powers Clipboard's marketplace, including worker payouts, instant pay, facility invoicing, fraud controls, and billing operations. When a worker completes a shift, Vault ensures payments are issued on time.

Interview Process

• Take‑home PR assessment about 60–90 minutes, followed by a live discussion
• Second take‑home task (technical design or a second PR) with a live follow‑up
• Hiring manager interview
• Final culture screen with our Head of People
