Software Engineer Senior

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the TFCC Team and contribute to the THAAD Ground software. This role spans the software engineering lifecycle, collaborating across groups to deliver robust software using C, C++, or Python, while operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. A strong foundation in STEM, US citizenship, and an active security clearance are required to support mission-critical development.

Responsibilities

• Support the software engineering lifecycle per the program Software Development Plan (SDP), including requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis & design, coding and unit testing, integration, and support to formal test and delivery.
• Coordinate with Ground Systems teams to ensure the software is implemented successfully.
• Maintain adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Develop THAAD software within the Ground component as a member of the THAAD Fire Control and Communications (TFCC) Team.
• Operate effectively in a creative, high tempo, collaborative, cross-functional, multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related discipline from an accredited university
• Experience working on teams using Agile practices
