Job Description

Nanobiosym, a fast-growing player in the digital health space, is seeking an on-site Software Engineer: Full-Stack Web Developer to join the Cambridge, MA team. This role centers on building secure, scalable web and e-commerce platforms, leveraging AWS-based cloud solutions and modern full-stack frameworks, with direct collaboration with the CEO to align technology with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the company website and e-commerce storefront, ensuring responsive performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Develop end-to-end web and e-commerce platforms (front-end to back-end) with cross-device compatibility.
  • Create and optimize cloud-based solutions on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) for high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Apply security measures including SSL/TLS, OAuth2, encryption, and maintain GDPR, HIPAA, and related compliance.
  • Use modular frameworks (React, Node.js, Python/Django) to support rapid scalability and evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO to align technical execution with business goals, presenting solutions and progress in clear terms.
  • Develop UI/UX designs that reinforce brand identity and deliver visually cohesive, user-centric interfaces.
  • Build analytics dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) to monitor user behavior, sales trends, and system performance.
  • Implement robust security measures and maintain industry-standard compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to keep the digital presence future-ready.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years in full-stack web development.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue) with strong responsive design skills.
  • Experience with server-side languages such as Node.js and Python, including building and managing RESTful APIs.
  • Expertise in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS RDS) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, DocumentDB), including complex query optimization.
  • Deep expertise in AWS services, cloud architecture, and administration.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS deployment, serverless architecture, version control, and DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Git).
  • Knowledge of OWASP standards, secure authentication workflows (OAuth2), and general web security practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to define a roadmap and present it to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience building e-commerce platforms and integrating payment gateways.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
