Full-Stack Developer - AI Interface & Security Specialist

KAUST is seeking a Full-Stack Developer to help deliver secure, cross-platform web interfaces for an AI-powered submicron imaging platform. The role combines full-stack development with AI/ML integration, secure data handling, database management for large imaging datasets, and interactive visualization for 2D, 3D, and point cloud data.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive web applications that perform across laptops, workstations, tablets, and mobile devices
• Design intuitive interfaces for AI model interaction and advanced image analysis workflows
• Manage high-performance databases optimized for large-scale imaging datasets
• Implement security measures including encryption, authentication, and secure data transmission practices
• Integrate AI/ML models into web interfaces with real-time inference capabilities
• Create data visualizations for 2D, 3D, and point cloud representation
• Optimize performance to support fast loading and efficient data retrieval

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack web development
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.js
• Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, or a comparable stack
• Database experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar systems
• Experience implementing security features such as authentication, encryption, and secure APIs
• Proficiency with responsive design and cross-platform compatibility
