Full Stack JavaScript Developer

Futrend Technology, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack JavaScript Developer for an onsite role in Bethesda, MD supporting a high-visibility federal client. This position offers the opportunity to contribute across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment, partnering with a team focused on system enhancement, modernization, and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in an Agile environment to support system enhancements, application development, data integration, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• At least five years of application or systems development experience.
• Strong understanding of procedural and object-oriented programming and common design patterns.
• Proven ability to work within large, complex codebases across the full technology stack.
• Ability to complete assignments independently with minimal supervision.
• Collaborative team mindset with strong communication skills to support shared goals and successful project delivery.
• Self-motivated learning and a commitment to continuously expanding technical expertise and staying current with emerging technologies.
• Web development experience with semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, DOM, Model/View/Controller (or similar), REST, JSON, and related server-side technologies including NodeJS, ExpressJS, and NPM.
• Extensive Angular experience is required.
• Familiarity with functional and event-driven programming concepts including callbacks, promises/futures, streaming, and reactive programming.
• Experience coding algorithms to process complex data structures (for example, multi-level combinations of objects, lists, and hash tables).
• Experience working with databases including SQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB, including handling data through pipelines and ETL processes, and working with various file formats.
• Extensive experience with Git source code control, including advanced workflows such as rebasing and squashing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work with Linux environments and shell programming.
• Working knowledge of Python and pip, with experience using numerical and data science libraries such as Keras and NumPy to support machine learning implementation.
• Knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud platforms, including cloud-agnostic architectures and services.
• Knowledge of Medical Subject Headings or other medical terminologies.
