The American Heart Association supports mission-driven technology that powers digital fundraising assets. As a Sr. Digital Developer, you will design, develop, and modify web applications and integration software, helping move requirements from concept through production and ongoing support.
This role is based in Milwaukee, WI (onsite). The expected pay range is $115,000 - $125,000 per year, with pay commensurate with experience. Geographic differentials to the pay range may apply, and the American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using technologies such as React, Ionic React, Nest.js, TypeScript, and related tooling.
- Use requirements, solution architecture, application architecture, and development standards to produce software artifacts.
- Test and support quality through unit and integrated testing cycles, then participate in user acceptance testing and defect remediation.
- Manage incoming tickets and defects, including preliminary debugging, triaging, escalating when needed, and communicating ticket status back to customers.
- Support the clarification and refinement of business requirements.
- Provide estimations based on requirements and functional specifications.
- Deliver coordination, production, and project support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Core qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with React, Ionic React, Nest.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with ticketing systems and troubleshooting web application defects using in-browser debugging tools.
- Experience with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) / Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools.
- Customer service mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Solutions oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Helpful experience
- Experience with the Azure platform.
- Experience using Microsoft .NET full-stack and related technologies.
- Experience with Angular or another JavaScript framework.
- Experience with Express.js, Redis cache, and PostgreSQL.
