Software Applications Developer

CareView Communications, Inc. is seeking a Software Applications Developer to contribute to the design, development, and support of CareView software systems. The role participates in product development across the full SDLC and works closely with QA, product, support, and technical operations teams, while handling software and data in alignment with privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA.

Location and Work Setup

• Hybrid remote work in Lewisville, TX 75067
• Ability to commute: Lewisville, TX 75067 (Required)
• Working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Schedule flexibility: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on job duties

• Job type: Full-time

Compensation

• Salary range: USD 90,000 - 115,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and support of CareView software systems
• Participate in product development and the full SDLC
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team
• Collaborate with the Product development team
• Partner with Support and Technical Operations teams
• Adhere to organizational privacy and security policies when designing, developing, and handling software and data, including proper treatment of protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum experience: 5 years
• 5 years of experience working directly with customers and third-party vendors on integration projects
• Ability to lead meetings and communicate effectively
• Experience writing production-ready, testable code in Node.js
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
• Experience with common development tools and frameworks
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Ability to document code and development processes
• Demonstrable experience with authentication/authorization patterns
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience working with Express.js
• Demonstrable experience learning and utilizing third-party APIs and frameworks

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field such as information technology.

Preferred Experience

• Previous knowledge or exposure to healthcare EHR/EMR systems (preferred, not required)
