Role overview

Backend software engineer on the CommandIQ team, responsible for breaking down features into actionable work, implementing and testing software, and collaborating across agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Decompose higher-level roadmap features into actionable work items
• Design, implement, and integrate/test software features
• Perform peer reviews for fellow software engineers and debug issues as they arise
• Participate in technical discussions to define and solve overarching software architecture needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers to understand project requirements and stakeholder needs

Requirements

• Experience or familiarity with Rust (or C), Python, Java
• Exposure to backend containerization concepts using Docker
• Exposure or familiarity with gRPC for framework development
• Knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and direct experience in some stages
• 1+ years of relevant work experience or an advanced degree in Computer Science

Compensation and status

Annual base salary ranges from USD 76,500 to 134,895, with location-based adjustments as noted in the policy.
