Job Description

This Software Engineer role at Nuix focuses on implementing important software modules with substantial independence. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA (Greentree) and follows an Agile delivery model, with expectations for regular in-office collaboration.

Role Overview

Work will be performed in the Pittsburgh, PA 15220 area. The successful candidate is required to attend the office at least 3 days per week, with the option to work remotely or from the Pittsburgh office for the remaining days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver scalable and high-performance solutions as part of an Agile team
  • Collaborate across teams to support seamless integrations between multiple projects
  • Develop software based on approved designs and/or requirements while adhering to relevant standards and making efficient use of Nuix’s software development environment
  • Deliver software using a mature continuous integration strategy
  • Design, develop, and execute unit, system, and integration tests for software components
  • Participate in planning, backlog grooming, and technical design discussions
  • Maintain code quality aligned with applicable coding standards
  • Maintain and improve application APIs, including GraphQL

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2 to 4+ years of experience in a similar role (minimum experience: 2 years)
  • Strong middle-tier software development skills using C#, Java, or Node
  • Strong front-end framework development skills using React, Angular, or Ext JS
  • Experience with cloud technologies, with preference toward AWS
  • Familiarity with MS SQL and ElasticSearch
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Willingness to follow good development practices, including unit tests, code reviews, and meeting quality gates
  • Alignment with Agile methodologies
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced Agile environment with urgency and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Experience using AI technologies for software development (preferred, not required)
