Software Engineer

Wells Fargo is hiring a Software Engineer for the Enterprise Risk, Audit, Finance, and Testing Technology team. This onsite role focuses on building enterprise software solutions, including agentic and Generative AI-powered applications, across the full delivery lifecycle from design through deployment and support.

Role Overview

You will participate in initiatives and projects within the technology domain, contributing to installation, upgrades, deployment, and ongoing service improvements. The position includes creating, testing, debugging, documenting, and communicating technical work related to low to moderately complex deliverables, including Gen AI features.

Responsibilities

• Support low to moderately complex initiatives and technology-domain projects, including installation, upgrades, and deployment activities
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability within the technology environment
• Design, code, test, debug, and document solutions for low to moderately complex projects and programs tied to upgrades and deployments
• Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges associated with low to medium risk deliverables, including research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology approaches
• Provide recommendations to resolve issues and escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
• Apply independent judgment while building understanding of the technology domain in relation to security and compliance requirements
• Share information with technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, and/or education
• 1+ year of Python development experience
• 1+ year of React or JavaScript development experience
• 1+ year of SQL database design and development experience
• 6+ months of experience developing Gen AI solutions
