Job Description

Lead a network automation and software development effort at Wells Fargo, delivering large-scale solutions through engineering standards, hands-on implementation, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technology initiatives with companywide scope and broad impact
  • Contribute to engineering standards and enterprise-wide best practices for large-scale technology solutions
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document solutions for programs and projects
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale solutions to support tactical and strategic business objectives and enterprise technical requirements
  • Make decisions on standard practices using industry best practices and new technologies, guiding the team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate with key technical experts, senior engineering teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues
  • Lead projects and teams and/or act as a peer mentor

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Software Development / Network Automation experience (or equivalent via work experience, training, or military experience)
  • 3+ years of technical documentation experience
  • 3+ years of programming and scripting skills, including one or more of: Python, Go, Django, Perl, Ansible, Terraform

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a lead or senior engineer capacity
  • Relevant certifications preferred, including CCIE Automation and JNCIE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with containers and tooling: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Harness, and other package managers or AI driven CICD frameworks
  • Experience with workflow or runtime execution environments including Temporal and Celery
  • Demonstrable software development in Python, Go, and .net
  • API experience including Restconf, Netconf, Swagger, and API-based integration
  • Observability experience including gRPC, flow data, logging, Grafana, ELK, Prometheus
  • Information security and risk management experience, including policy/standards, security assessments, best practices, and mitigation solution design and implementation
  • Strong leadership skills

Location: Charlotte, NC (hybrid)

Salary: USD 119,000 - 224,000 per year

Minimum Experience: 5 years
