Job Description
Wells Fargo is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for the CCIBT organization (ECRT team) to deliver technology solutions for counterparty credit risk identification, measurement, aggregation, and enterprise reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large-scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document technology projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical issues using in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex problems and lead a team to meet existing client needs and potential new client needs, applying knowledge of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to address technical challenges and meet goals
- Lead projects and serve as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via work experience, training, military experience, or education)
- 4+ years of Python development experience
- 4+ years of SQL development and data analysis experience
- 2+ years of Power BI reporting and dashboard development experience

Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years supporting Counterparty Credit Risk functions within Capital Markets environments
- Experience developing and supporting data visualizations using Dremio
- Java development experience
- Experience delivering in Agile teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking, collaboration, and documentation
- Experience using CI/CD tools to automate build, testing, and deployment processes
- Experience working with Apache Iceberg table formats in modern data platforms
- Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot to improve developer productivity and code quality
- Ability to use Agentic AI tools to design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and data solutions
