Job Description

Wells Fargo is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for the CCIBT organization (ECRT team) to deliver technology solutions for counterparty credit risk identification, measurement, aggregation, and enterprise reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large-scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document technology projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical issues using in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex problems and lead a team to meet existing client needs and potential new client needs, applying knowledge of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to address technical challenges and meet goals
  • Lead projects and serve as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via work experience, training, military experience, or education)
  • 4+ years of Python development experience
  • 4+ years of SQL development and data analysis experience
  • 2+ years of Power BI reporting and dashboard development experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years supporting Counterparty Credit Risk functions within Capital Markets environments
  • Experience developing and supporting data visualizations using Dremio
  • Java development experience
  • Experience delivering in Agile teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking, collaboration, and documentation
  • Experience using CI/CD tools to automate build, testing, and deployment processes
  • Experience working with Apache Iceberg table formats in modern data platforms
  • Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot to improve developer productivity and code quality
  • Ability to use Agentic AI tools to design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and data solutions

Job Expectations

  • Must be able to work onsite at one of the posted locations; hybrid work schedule is available

Compensation
