Peraton is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support a suite of web-based applications that automate compliant data management for IC data custodians. In this onsite role in Annapolis Junction, MD, you will help design and implement data engineering solutions that standardize and simplify how data is captured, approved, routed, and reused across concurrent data sets.

About the Role

The team builds products that support the capture of information and approvals needed to move data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner. These capabilities are intended to streamline data movement while improving reuse and integration with downstream tools.

Responsibilities

Outline, develop, and implement data engineering solutions.
Partner with multiple concurrent IC-provided data sets to identify, map, and model transformation routines that support ingestion into customer corporate repositories.
Document new and existing data flows that enable data routing implementations across those data sets.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI with current polygraph required.
Twenty (20) years of experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Working knowledge of smart data systems and entitlements.
Experience with current and evolving agency dataflow and reporting solutions.
Experience developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems.
Experience leading agile development models.
Experience integrating COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors.
Experience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environments.
Experience planning and integrating secure compliant solutions based on legal, policy, and compliance directives.
Working knowledge of NiFi; comfort in a Linux environment; ability to interact with data ontologies (schemas); structured data types including XML, CSV, and JSON; database experience with MySQL and/or NoSQL; and analytic query experience with a platform.

Compensation and Additional Details

Target salary range: USD 176,000 - 282,000 per year.
Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
