Job Description
Glint Tech Solutions LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to join its on-site team in Reston, VA. The role centers on modernizing legacy mainframe systems by migrating them to a modern Java based tech stack, with responsibilities spanning analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of mission-critical enrollment systems built in COBOL and Java environments.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to modernization efforts by migrating legacy Mainframe systems to a newer Java based technology stack.
- Perform complex analysis of enrollment systems.
- Architect software solutions for enrollment systems.
- Develop enrollment systems in COBOL and Java environments.
- Test enrollment systems to ensure reliability and correctness.
- Debug enrollment systems to identify and fix issues.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience including architecture, design, coding, and testing.
- Strong COBOL expertise in Mainframe environments CICS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, ChangeMan, Topaz.
- Java development experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit or TestNG.
- Hands-on experience with Spring technologies Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Integration.
- Experience with RESTful/SOA web services.
- Extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (in lieu of degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience accepted).

Project Description
