Mainframe Developer

ND Global Consulting Services Inc is hiring a Mainframe Developer for onsite work in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise COBOL applications running on z/OS
• Support production environments with JCL development and operational issue resolution
• Build and work with integration points using NaturalOne
• Implement and support financial/accounting system capabilities in a regulated environment
• Handle accounting activities including double-entry posting, balance/accrual maintenance, value dating, reconciliation, and month-end closeouts
• Trace undocumented logic across copybooks, call chains, and job streams
• Work with data access and storage concepts using Adabas and VSAM

Requirements

• 5+ years of Enterprise COBOL development in a z/OS environment
• 5+ years of experience with NaturalOne
• 3+ years of JCL development and production support
• 3+ years experience developing or supporting financial/accounting systems, including:
  • double-entry posting
  • balance/accrual maintenance
  • value dating
  • reconciliation
  • month-end closeouts
  • work in a regulated environment
• 3+ years working with Adabas and VSAM
• 3+ years tracing undocumented logic through copybooks, call chains, and job streams
