Software Developer (Go / Backend Engineering)

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Go (Golang) and the Gin framework.
• Build secure, scalable, well-documented RESTful APIs.
• Create efficient database schemas, queries, and stored procedures using SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT or OAuth.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with engineering best practices.
• Create unit and integration tests to support application quality.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments.

What you bring

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development (required).
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang).
• 1+ year of Go framework experience (required).
• Hands-on experience with the Gin framework.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database design.
• Good understanding of Go concurrency concepts including goroutines, channels, and mutexes.
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and location

The salary range for this role is $80,000–$105,000 per year. This position is onsite in Rock Hill, SC.
