Job Description

This role at Citi oversees the full lifecycle of Tableau analytics dashboards and Tableau Prep Flows, covering requirements gathering, prototyping, development, testing, deployment, and post launch enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and govern advanced reporting, analytics dashboards, and other BI solutions.
  • Build Tableau solutions with backend support from Sybase and Big Data technologies.
  • Incorporate data from multiple sources into Tableau, performing cleansing, blending, and aggregation to prepare visualization-ready datasets.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of dashboards and data sources to ensure fast load times and a clear user experience.
  • Tune data extracts and improve data retrieval efficiency for Tableau dashboards.
  • Maintain, test, and schedule Tableau extract refreshes.
  • Develop trigger-based automation for Tableau extract refreshes on large data volumes (TB scale).
  • Create scripts to automate Tableau extract refresh processes.
  • Assist in prioritizing bugs, feature work, and architectural enhancements.
  • Design Tableau API integrations as needed.
  • Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate issues related to data integrity, visualization accuracy, and dashboard performance.
  • Fine tune SQL queries for maximum efficiency and performance.
  • Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to diagnose defects and resolve issues.
  • Manage Tableau Server administration on Linux, including upgrades and installations.
  • Oversee end-to-end Tableau content deployments using automated solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to streamline business processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise BI development, with a preference for consulting backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Hands-on expertise with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
  • Thorough knowledge of Tableau administration and architecture.
  • Practical experience in relational database application development.
  • Solid background in data mart and data warehouse design.
  • Experience with time series or NoSQL databases is highly valued.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, and MongoDB.
  • Experience managing unstructured data.
  • Ability to write complex SQL, stored procedures, and perform query tuning.
  • Clear understanding of query plan management.

Salary Range: USD 107,120 - 160,680 per year
