Blue Marble invites a Senior Product Developer to join our Ashland, Oregon team in a hybrid capacity. This role guides the full lifecycle of toy product development, from initial concept through production, coordinating with internal teams, overseas manufacturers, and licensors to deliver consumer-ready products. Responsibilities
- Lead toy products through the full lifecycle from concept to launch by partnering with creative teams and stakeholders to seize opportunities and develop comprehensive product tech packs.
- Maintain product specifications, bill of materials, and tech packs across all products to ensure engineering aligns with cost standards.
- Manage, track, and communicate progress across departments to keep milestones visible and on track.
- Provide leadership and direction to overseas manufacturers to achieve product goals.
- Consistently deliver high-quality products that meet testing guidelines, licensor standards, and brand values.
- Coordinate development timelines for multiple products within the company calendar.
- Negotiate costs to meet margin expectations and confirm final costs with overseas partners.
- Communicate across the organization through meetings, presentations, and one-on-one discussions as needed.
- Conduct product research and present findings to stakeholders in a clear, organized manner.
- Anticipate, identify, and proactively resolve development issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a consumer products toy field focused on product development; experience with sports or entertainment licensors/licensees (toy manufacturer) is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of toy categories, manufacturing techniques, materials, and technologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture view with diverse groups.
- Team player who is also an independent thinker, self-motivated, self-starter, analytical thinker, and creator.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, time management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global environment.
- Strong data management and project management skills; able to identify solutions and remove obstacles to understand decision impact.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts, projected performance, and risks to team and senior management.
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence without formal authority.
- Creative flair in both ideation and execution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with PDM and PLM systems and Stage Gate style project management is preferred.
- Occasional travel overseas, less than 10%.

Location and work arrangement
