This role sits within EY's Government & Public Sector Digital Engineering practice. It focuses on designing and building user interfaces and portals with Microsoft technologies, translating requirements into technical designs, and delivering agile software solutions for government clients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring the final product meets needs
  • Design and develop functional and user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience
  • Write clean, maintainable code and create specifications that support business objectives
  • Contribute to software component design and translate requirements into technical design and tasks
  • Communicate effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives
  • Assist with providing estimates on assigned tasks
  • Independently write high-quality code that is simple, reliable, and scalable
  • Analyze and resolve moderate to complex problems during development and support, and document results
  • Participate in white-boarding sessions and impact analysis to improve development processes
  • Learn new client information quickly and translate data modeling, process modeling, and revision control concepts
  • Apply a solid understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies
  • Demonstrate proficiency in application development tools and quality assurance practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Pages (Portals)
  • Experience with Liquid
  • Strong knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML
  • Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Experience integrating with external systems
  • 5+ years of total relevant experience
  • Comfortable working in person as needed
