Senior Full Stack Java Developer with GraphQL Experience

Senior Full Stack Java Developer with an Angular focus, based in Pittsburgh, PA, responsible for building secure, scalable GraphQL and RESTful APIs and backend microservices for CGI Group, Inc. The role offers a salary range of USD 70,800 to 156,700 per year and requires a minimum of three years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement front end components with Angular, while developing supporting backend APIs and microservices.
• Build and maintain GraphQL APIs, covering schema design, resolvers, queries, mutations, and subscriptions.
• Develop and support RESTful and GraphQL services that integrate with internal and external systems.
• Create user interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Develop Java services with Spring Boot and validate them within a microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with business, design, and technical teams to define API contracts and data models.
• Optimize GraphQL queries for performance, scalability, and security.
• Produce and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI and GraphQL schema documentation.
• Research and recommend frameworks, libraries, and tools to improve development efficiency.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• 3+ years of GraphQL development experience, including schema design and modeling.
• 3+ years of GraphQL development experience, including query and mutation development.
• 3+ years of GraphQL development experience, including resolver implementation.
• 3+ years of GraphQL development experience, including GraphQL security and performance optimization.
• 3+ years of GraphQL development experience with Apollo Server, Apollo Client, or equivalent frameworks.
• 6+ years of experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.
• 3+ years developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• 3+ years building containerized microservices and deploying applications in OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, JSON, XML, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests for Java and JavaScript applications.
