Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Developer

Amtelco is seeking a Senior AI Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and ML powered applications, integrating models into software systems. This hybrid role is based in McFarland, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and refine machine learning and deep learning models for tasks such as natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics, and implement them for production use.
• Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large data sets to ensure high quality, well annotated data for model training.
• Deploy AI models into existing software applications, leveraging APIs and cloud platforms to deliver reliable functionality and user experience.
• Monitor performance, conduct testing, and troubleshoot issues to maintain reliability, scalability, and efficiency in production environments.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements, align AI initiatives with business goals, and explain complex concepts clearly.
• Stay current with AI advancements, frameworks, and industry trends to propose and implement innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Associate degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with a focus in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, C++, and/or R.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and deep learning architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for model deployment.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in healthcare and contact center environments and technology is helpful.
