Sr. Agentic AI Developer

Midland Scientific Inc is looking for a Senior Agentic AI Developer to build and implement agentic AI solutions that reduce manual effort and deliver practical, AI-powered tools across the business. This is a hands-on role where you partner with department leaders and employees to take promising AI proof-of-concepts into real production systems.

In this in-office position at the headquarters in LaVista, NE, you’ll work on solutions that help employees get more done, automate repetitive workflows, and connect people, systems, data, and AI using Microsoft technologies and other tools where they fit best.

What you’ll do

• Spot opportunities where AI, automation, and technology can remove manual work and improve business processes.
• Collaborate with department leaders and employees to understand challenges, uncover opportunities, and define requirements.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and support AI-powered solutions, applications, automations, and integrations.
• Build agentic AI systems that can complete multi-step tasks, interact with business systems, and assist employees.
• Use Microsoft capabilities such as Copilot, Azure AI, Power Platform, and Power Automate to deliver the right solution.
• Create APIs, integrations, workflows, and custom applications that connect users, systems, data, and AI.
• Work with databases, enterprise systems, and business data to develop solutions that hold up in practice.
• Move fast with proof-of-concepts, evaluate results, and bring successful solutions into production.
• Monitor, improve, and maintain AI solutions after implementation.
• Measure business impact and ROI for solutions you build.
• Help establish practical development and AI automation standards as Midland’s capabilities grow.
• Train and mentor other members of the IT team on AI technologies, development practices, and automation.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and identify new areas where capabilities can create value for Midland.

What you bring

• Professional experience developing and implementing AI-powered solutions and business applications.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI and AI automation.
• Experience with Microsoft AI technologies, including Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, and related automation tools.
• Strong development experience with Python, PHP, Vue.js, APIs and integrations, and SQL and relational databases.
• Experience building business applications, workflows, automations, and system integrations.
• Experience working directly with business users to gather requirements and translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Track record taking initiatives from concept or proof-of-concept through implementation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and own projects from start to finish.
