Job Description

ReachMobi is hiring a Senior Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain Android launcher applications and SDKs with a strong focus on performance and memory optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android launcher applications and SDKs using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, emphasizing performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Partner with other development teams to integrate the launcher SDK into their apps, ensuring seamless functionality and optimization for a range of use cases.
  • Lead innovation efforts to create new features, interactions, and user interfaces that improve the Android experience.
  • Continuously optimize launcher apps and SDKs for memory efficiency and high performance to support smooth experiences across many Android devices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, with guidance on Android best practices, especially for launcher and SDK development.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Android launcher technology, including developing and optimizing launcher apps and SDKs.
  • Ability to create SDKs that enable app teams to integrate launcher functionality smoothly, with optimal performance and ease of integration for third-party apps.
  • Strong focus on memory usage and performance optimization, including a proven ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues in a scalable and efficient manner.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience writing clean, efficient code and building modern, user-friendly UIs.
  • Comfort working within a small, elite development team delivering and refining a high-impact launcher SDK on a rapid timeline.
  • Strong understanding of Android fundamentals, including the Android Lifecycle and custom launcher design principles.
  • Commitment to high-quality, user-centric mobile experiences.
  • UI/UX design experience and hands-on UI design is a plus.
