Senior Android Developer

Contract Senior Android Developer role for hands-on development, troubleshooting, and backend integration for Android mobile applications in a hybrid setup in California City, CA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Build mobile applications aligned to technical specifications and business requirements.
• Use Android SDK and Android Architecture components/frameworks to deliver maintainable solutions.
• Integrate Android apps with backend services via REST/Web Services, working with JSON and XML.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns in implementation.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Android applications to improve performance and reliability.
• Keep up with new Android platform features, frameworks, and development practices.
• Contribute across the Mobile Application Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Android application development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and Android Architecture.
• Excellent Core Java and OOP knowledge.
• Experience with API/Web Service integration, including JSON and XML.
• Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of mobile application design patterns and frameworks.
• Ability to work independently on Android application development.
