Ruby on Rails Developer

SSL.com is looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer to support the teams behind its digital certificate products. In this Houston, TX onsite role, you will help strengthen and evolve core web capabilities that contribute to a more secure Internet.

You will collaborate with other developers through day-to-day engineering work and code review, while also contributing to how SSL.com approaches technical decisions. The position centers on building and refining features using Ruby on Rails and the surrounding web stack.

What you’ll do

• Participate in code reviews with developers on the team.
• Help influence the technical direction SSL.com takes, with your input valued.
• Contribute to feature development using Ruby on Rails and related technologies.

Core requirements

• 3+ years of Ruby on Rails experience.
• Experience with Ruby 2.0 and Rails 4.0+.
• JavaScript experience.
• Ability to work effectively with other developers.
• Experience calling REST APIs.
• Experience with Tailwind.
• UI/UX experience.
• A Computer Science degree or the equivalent amount of development experience.
