Software Engineer / Developer

Contribute to the design, development, and ongoing support of secure, web-based applications in a hybrid engineering role based in Queens, NY.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain code that follows design specifications, security standards, and Ruby on Rails best practices
• Develop and improve web applications using Ruby on Rails and front-end technologies
• Design and deliver new systems, features, enhancements, and defect fixes across the full stack
• Support and maintain critical web-based applications used by business units
• Work with team members and other groups on solutions, including code reviews, testing, and implementation

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack experience building Web Applications with Ruby on Rails
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field
• Proven ability to resolve complex software development and design issues using clean, maintainable code
• Ability to create technical design and build documentation
• Experience applying secure infrastructure coding standards
• Strong skills in process orientation, planning, organization, problem-solving, interpersonal collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and communication

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Location: Queens, NY (Hybrid)
• Onsite expectation: at least 3 days a week onsite

• Familiarity with software applications delivered through the web
• Experience managing product installations

Compensation: USD 70 per hour
