Job Description
Experis is looking for a Senior .NET/C# Developer to support a financial services client in Austin, TX (onsite) or Southlake, TX, building scalable, resilient, event-driven systems with Kafka and cloud-native practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly scalable, resilient, event-driven applications using .NET, Kafka, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Build and modernize high-volume services, APIs, and distributed application capabilities for reliable transaction processing and business-critical workflows.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, and adjacent technology teams to translate business capabilities into high-quality technical solutions.
- Use GenAI coding assistants to accelerate development while maintaining ownership for correctness and quality, including implementation, refactoring, unit testing, regression support, code reviews, scripting, automation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Improve engineering quality through automated testing, code review discipline, performance analysis, observability, resiliency design, and production readiness practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering scalable, high-performance .NET, cloud-based, web services applications supporting high-volume transactions.
- Proven experience leading design and implementation of .NET and Kafka event-driven solutions, with strong knowledge of distributed systems, stream processing, and cloud-native architectures.
- Working experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, Splunk, JSON/XML, caching, performance analysis, and profiling.
- Familiarity with Twelve-Factor App methodology, resiliency patterns, and observability patterns.
- Experience as a technical lead for a team and/or project, including 6+ years building and deploying cloud-native applications with GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD practices.
