Job Description

In PwC's Managed Services practice, a Data Engineer - Experienced Associate contributes to client engagements by turning data into actionable insights. This onsite role in Minneapolis sits within the Data & Analytics group, focusing on building data-driven solutions and analytics that guide strategic decisions, with a compensation range of USD 63,000 to 140,000 per year. A bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy data-driven solutions to boost business performance and competitive advantage, focusing on data engineering and ETL processes.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques to deliver strategic insights and support informed client decisions, including SQL optimization efforts.
  • Construct and maintain data pipelines to enable efficient data collection and analysis using tools such as DataStage.
  • Create comprehensive reports and dashboards with business intelligence tools, including Oracle Business Intelligence and QlikView, and leverage DB2 and SQL Server environments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to collect and analyze data from diverse sources, identifying patterns and trends within star schemas and dimensional models.
  • Apply data architecture practices to design and maintain robust database management systems featuring snowflake-style models.
  • Pursue ongoing process improvements to enhance data quality and integrity across engagements.
  • Support client engagements by listening to diverse perspectives and addressing client needs in regulated environments.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and market development strategies through data analysis and interpretation.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced setting and take ownership of tasks to consistently deliver quality results, including experience with job scheduling and UNIX environments.

Requirements
