Job Description
Build software that helps connect digital experience signals into the State Farm data ecosystem, enabling reporting, analytics, and optimization. In the Digital Insights enablement suite within Digital Experience, this work supports a more simplified, seamless, efficient, and personalized omni-channel customer experience by collecting and sharing user experience data.
This hybrid role is based in Bloomington, IL, with qualified candidates planning time working from home and time in the office. Enterprise Technology hybrid is defined as residing within a 180-mile radius of the hubs and Corporate. HUB locations include Dunwoody, GA, Richardson, TX, Tempe, AZ, or Bloomington, IL.
What you’ll do
- Enable the collection and sharing of digital data that supports downstream insights.
- Connect digital experience data into the larger State Farm data ecosystem for reporting, analytics, and optimization.
- Ensure a user’s digital journey is accurately represented for analytic use cases across reporting and optimization.
- Collaborate horizontally across multiple product teams to enable collection of user experience data needed for analytic insights on product functionality.
- Learn and apply concepts from behavior analytics to build a comprehensive data trail for customers and associates.
- Enable data collection and exchange using front end JavaScript, AWS services (Lambda, S3, SNS/SQS, ECS, Redis Cache), and APIs.
Core qualifications
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- Frontend JavaScript development experience.
- Experience with the AWS technology stack, including AWS services such as Lambda, CloudFront, Route53, eventing frameworks (SNS, SQS), S3, API Gateway, and related infrastructure concepts (load balancing, VPS, subnets, security groups).
- Knowledge of building AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Knowledge of version control, CI/CD pipelines, unit testcases, and DevOps.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical knowledge effectively.
- Demonstrated learning agility and a desire for continuous growth.
- Ability to apply broad technical experience to an iterative delivery approach.
- Strong results orientation and the ability to adapt and foster innovation, including encouraging diversity of thought.
- Experience with web page tagging/tracking, native Android and iOS application tagging, and script development & testing.
- Experience with jQuery, Java Script, CSS manipulation, HTML, browser debugging tools (Chrome, FireFox, Edge, etc.), and developer tools.
- Exposure to single page architecture frameworks such as Ember, Angular, or React.
- Demonstrated usage of AI tools to identify efficiencies, support innovation, perform data validation, and assist with code development.

Compensation and schedule

- Salary: $97,000 - $160,000 per year
