Lead Software Engineer

Belcan is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to support a Digital Engineering Ecosystem through automated information transfer and real-time dynamic dashboards. The role requires an active Secret security clearance and in-person work.

Role Focus

In this position, you will design and deliver automated solutions that enable efficient data movement across tools, teams, and networks. You will also develop real-time dashboard capabilities to improve situational awareness and support timely decision-making within the DEE environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain API scripts for configuring and extracting relevant data to support transfer across diverse tools, teams, and networks
• Implement automated information transfer protocols tuned for throughput and aligned with program knowledge parity objectives
• Establish and enforce quality control measures to maintain data integrity and accuracy across the information pipeline
• Develop dynamic dashboards for real-time visualization of DEE data to support operational awareness
• Collaborate with partners, government customers, and internal teams to help ensure secure and efficient ecosystem operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across multiple platforms and security classification levels

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
• Must be able to work on-site
• Strong experience in API development, scripting, and data integration
• Proficiency in data visualization tools and dashboard development
• Solid understanding of secure network environments and permission-based access systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Active Secret security clearance preferred; candidates with a recently inactive or expired clearance within the last 24 months are encouraged to apply, as eligibility may be reinstated through the standard sponsorship process

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with Digital Engineering Ecosystems or similar collaborative platforms
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and government compliance requirements
• Knowledge of automated data transfer protocols and optimization techniques
• Background in cybersecurity practices for classified environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based solutions and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 per year. Belcan considers factors including education, experience, geographic location, and discipline when extending an offer. Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year.
