Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design and development of electronic, control, and software systems for ground support equipment, guiding projects from concept through implementation and ongoing support in alignment with ISO 9001 processes.
Develop PLC and HMI based control systems to enable automated equipment functionality.
Convert customer requirements into technical specifications, system architecture, and executable designs that align with project timelines.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, product management, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Troubleshoot electrical, control, and software issues; perform root cause analysis and document corrective actions.
Support new product development and product enhancements, including automation improvements.
Participate in technical design reviews to ensure safety, compliance, performance, and quality standards.
Provide technical guidance to internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Drive continuous improvement in controls and software design processes and in configuration management practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, controls, or industrial automation.
Experience designing PLC- and HMI-based control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
Proficiency in Ladder Logic and/or C, C++, or similar programming languages.
Experience with electrical design tools (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical or equivalent).
Strong ability to troubleshoot integrated electronic and software systems.
Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments.
Strong communication skills, including customer-facing interaction.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to work on-site in Mason, Ohio.
