Job Description

Tricon Solutions is hiring a Lead Senior Java Developer to lead backend architecture and delivery for distributed systems and web applications in a hybrid setup in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture and system design for large-scale distributed applications, with focus on robustness, scalability, and security
  • Build and maintain backend services in Java, supporting seamless integration with front-end components (React or Angular)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions using Agile
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services for efficient data exchange across distributed systems
  • Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and reinforce software engineering best practices using version control with GitHub or TFS
  • Drive CI/CD pipeline development and release automation using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
  • Optimize performance through multithreading, database tuning (SQL, T-SQL), and solid application design principles

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Spring Boot
  • Extensive Java development experience with frameworks including Hibernate, Spring Boot, and WCF for service-oriented architecture
  • Strong front-end technology knowledge, including React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, and Bootstrap
  • Proven experience designing scalable distributed systems using cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure
  • Proficiency with relational databases: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL; plus NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Deep understanding of system design for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization in complex environments
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, UML modeling, and tools such as Visual Studio and Eclipse
  • Experience implementing RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for cross-platform data exchange
  • Knowledge of application security best practices, including authentication/authorization protocols and secure coding standards
  • Skills with JUnit for unit testing, debugging, Git version control, Bash shell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to lead technical discussions on system architecture using UML diagrams, with strong problem-solving and communication skills

Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ (hybrid)

Compensation: USD 70–75 per hour
