Entry to Senior Level Mobile App Developer (iOS/Android)

Adidev Technologies Inc is hiring an Entry to Senior Level Mobile App Developer to design, build, and maintain iOS and/or Android applications. This role is based onsite in Dearborn, MI, with a focus on delivering reliable mobile experiences, collaborating on new features, and keeping performance and quality high.

Responsibilities

• Design and build applications for the iOS or Android platform
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness across applications
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Support code quality by helping maintain code organization and automatization
• Maintain positive rapport with clients
• Gather requirements and provide accurate, realistic milestones and timelines for delivery
• Complete coding tests or challenges as required
• Maintain open daily communication via phone, text, and email
• Submit daily project progress summaries
• Suggest new features and app expansions to improve performance and usability
• Deliver work on time as discussed and communicate deadline changes as soon as possible

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with Java (Java: 1-2 years)
• Published at least 1 application to the Play Store and familiarity with the process
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, Android versions, and handling different screen sizes
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and available libraries
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android apps to back-end services
• Comfortable with Git and source control
• Proficient with Objective-C and or Swift, and Cocoa Touch (Swift or Objective-C: 1-2 years)
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data and Core Animation
• Experience with Design Patterns such as MVC, Singleton, etc.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS apps to back-end services
• Familiarity with 3rd party API integrations such as Facebook, Dropbox, Instagram, Twitter, GoogleDrive, Bluetooth, Keychain, etc.
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
• Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
• Experience with performance and memory tuning using tools such as Instruments and Shark (depending on project needs)
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Ability for benchmarking and optimization
• Proficient with code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN
• Familiarity with continuous integration
