Job Description
Experis is seeking a Senior Application Developer to support backend application development and scalable data pipeline work in Pasadena, CA.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy robust backend applications using Java 17/21 and Python
- Lead development of scalable, high-performance data pipelines using Apache Kafka
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and stay aligned with project goals
- Implement and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and API Gateway
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to support software quality and reliability
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying backend applications
- Extensive experience with Java 17/21 and Python building RESTful backend services with Spring Boot
- Proficiency designing and maintaining low latency data pipelines using Apache Kafka
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, and CloudWatch
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Ability to use AI tools effectively in daily workflows
