Job Description
Platform Aerospace is expanding its Training and Standardization efforts to support Group 3+ UAS operations. The Content Developer II designs and manages training content to ensure safe, consistent, and compliant flight operations, working closely with subject matter experts across Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Standardization. This onsite position is based in Blackstone, Virginia and offers a salary between USD 50,000 and 90,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Assist in standing up and growing the Training and Standardization content creation function
- Design, develop, and maintain training and standardization content for UAS flight operations
- Conceptualize and propose initial and future training projects to advance the Training department
- Manage and deliver content projects from concept through completion, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
- Create visual, written, and multimedia training materials aligned with SOPs and standardization requirements
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Standardization to ensure technical accuracy
- Support training delivery as needed, including revisions, updates, or instructor support
- Maintain version control and audit-ready documentation for training and standardization materials
- Ensure content adheres to internal standards, security requirements, and operational guidance
- Travel to operational or training sites as required to support content development and training initiatives
- Perform other duties as necessary or required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; 2+ years of relevant aviation experience, including Group 3 UAS operations or comparable aircraft operations
- 1+ year of experience in a standardization, evaluation, training, or operational oversight role
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- 1+ year of experience creating, editing, and managing training or operational content
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic operational environment
- Strong understanding of aviation or UAS operational concepts and terminology
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex operational information into clear, effective training content
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and standardization
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across technical and operational teams
- Ability to follow structured documentation standards and version control practices
- Comfortable learning new software, tools, and technical systems quickly
- Able to travel up to 75%

Physical Requirements
- Ability to traverse manufacturing facilities
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job, including perceiving color differences in wires or cables, moving and lifting items up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and climbing ladders
- Must be able to obtain a DOT physical
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of training or a degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field
- Military flight experience is highly desirable
- Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Private Pilot License (PPL)
- Experience supporting training or standardization programs within a government or contractor environment
- Experience with e-learning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)
- Graphic design or multimedia editing experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing)
