Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements to translate them into robust software solutions
- Develop software components and features
- Install, integrate, and validate software within cloud environments
- Evaluate and enhance existing systems
- Sustain, test, and diagnose issues to resolution
- Conduct cloud software research to advance technology capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly desired and may be substituted as two years of experience
- Five or more years of directly related software development and engineering experience covering requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and issue diagnosis
- Willingness to obtain one of the following Cloud Developer Certifications prior to start or already possessing one: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning-Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning-Specialty, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Five years of overall software development/engineering experience
- Four or more years of software development using high-level languages such as Java, C, or C++
- Experience with OpenSource NoSQL products for distributed computing (examples include Hbase, Accumulo, Bigtable, etc.)
- Experience with MapReduce technologies and ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.)
- Experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
- Experience with JSON and/or BSON serialization
- Experience developing RESTful services
- At least three years of software development for UNIX/Linux systems (Red Hat versions 3–5)
- Experience in requirements analysis and design of at least one object-oriented system
- Experience integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products
- At least three years of software integration and software testing, including test plan and test script development
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and creation of technical documentation in support of software projects

Details
Target Salary Range: $135,000 – $216,000. Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and location, along with contract considerations. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply depending on the role.
