Augmented Reality Software Developer – Unreal

The Augmented Reality Software Developer role supports the development of novel augmented reality applications for surgical navigation at X-Nav Technologies. This position is part of the core development team, building and improving systems intended to enhance patient care using Unreal Engine and related technologies.

Lansdale, PA (onsite)

Education

• BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the chief technology officer within a start-up environment supported by subject matter experts and developers
• Develop novel augmented reality applications for surgical navigation

Required Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience focused on game development
• Experience developing and shipping Unreal Engine (UE4) or Unity games
• Comfortable working with computer graphics and 3D rendering methods
• Clear understanding of object-oriented (OO) programming concepts
• Comfortable using git or similar version control
• Strong team communication skills
• Ability to manage uncertainty, push technical boundaries, and work with an owner mindset

Additional Desirable Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of C++ and/or C# game programming experience
• Experience designing VR or AR game and application experiences, particularly with Microsoft HoloLens or Magic Leap
• Experience with 3D medical image rendering
• Experience with Qt/QML, OpenGL, and/or other UI and graphics libraries (a plus)
• Experience developing software for medical devices
• Start-up experience
